John Deere Engine Trainings
John Deere CSP-QCD001 – Service ADVISOR™ Diagnostics
This instructor-led classroom course teaches service professionals how to efficiently use Service ADVISOR™ to support customer service and equipment diagnostics. Participants reinforce skills introduced in Service ADVISOR™ 5 web-based training through guided, hands-on practice, including creating and managing jobs, locating manuals and schematics, launching diagnostic routines, and using Service ADVISOR™ Remote to retrieve fault codes, run tests, reprogram control units, and record diagnostic data.
John Deere CSP-QCD024 – Electrical / Electronic Diagnostics
This hands-on course provides practical training in electrical and electronic diagnostics, focusing on the use of diagnostic tools, interpreting electrical schematics, Machine Normal analysis, and troubleshooting electrical issues across a variety of equipment. The course concludes with both written and practical assessments, with a minimum passing score of 80 percent. Students are required to bring a laptop with the latest version of Service ADVISOR™ or Service Center software installed.
John Deere CSP-18-SE4MT410 – Engine Diagnostic Capstone with Aftertreatment
This instructor-led course builds advanced diagnostic skills for servicing John Deere engines equipped with aftertreatment systems. Participants gain extensive hands-on experience working directly with engines and system components, helping reduce diagnostic time and reliance on outside support while improving service efficiency. This course is intended for dealer technicians, dealer distributors, DTAC Field Service, and internal Customer Support personnel. Prerequisite courses are required, and the majority of training is conducted in the shop, requiring steel-toe or metatarsal protective footwear.
Kubota Engine Trainings
Kubota 3030 – Electronic Diesel Engine
Dive into the electrical systems that power Kubota electronic diesel engines. This course focuses on SCR and DPF systems, common rail technology, and Diagmaster usage. Diagnostics are a major component, supported by extensive hands-on activities.
Kubota 3040 – GL Generator
Explore both the electrical systems and mechanical engine operation of Kubota GL7000, GL11000, and GL14000 generators. Key areas of emphasis include rotor and stator function, excitation, and voltage regulation.
Kubota 3050 – Mechanical Diesel Engine
Gain a comprehensive understanding of Kubota mechanical diesel engines and their operation. This course emphasizes component testing, along with hands-on engine disassembly and reassembly.
Kubota 3060 – WG Spark Ignited Engine
Focus on the electrical systems behind Kubota WG spark-ignited engines. Topics include multifuel and liquid propane fuel systems, sensor operation, and diagnostics, reinforced through a high level of hands-on training.
Volvo Engine Trainings
Volvo 651060 – D5–D16 Industrial Engines
This certification course covers Volvo Penta D5 through D16 industrial diesel engines and is designed for technicians responsible for installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair. The course combines classroom theory with hands-on activities to reinforce understanding of base engine components, engine systems including lubrication, fuel, intake and exhaust, cooling, and electrical, as well as proper maintenance practices. Training also includes coverage of Tier 4i, Tier 4 Final, and Stage V emission control systems for industrial diesel applications.
Volvo 651062 – D5–D16 EATS
This certification course focuses on exhaust aftertreatment systems for Volvo Penta D5 and D8 industrial diesel engines and is intended for technicians responsible for installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair. The course blends classroom instruction with hands-on training to strengthen understanding of engine systems and emissions technology, including Tier 4i, Tier 4 Final, and Stage V requirements, ensuring technicians are equipped to confidently diagnose and service modern aftertreatment systems.

As CK Power’s Product Support Department Manager, he leads with deep technical know-how and a passion for helping others master the trade. Mike is a certified trainer for Volvo and John Deere, and he’s the guy everyone turns to when they want to take their generator game to the next level.

Adam brings a decade of hands-on experience in the power generation industry, starting on the shop floor building generators, then moving into the field as a service technician, and now lending his expertise in the Product Support Department. As a Kubota Certified Trainer, Adam has a knack for breaking down complex systems and making learning approachable (and even fun). If there’s a Kubota engine involved, Adam’s your go-to guy.

Rob’s dedication, discipline, and attention to detail make him a trusted resource for both colleagues and customers.

With 30 years of mechanical experience under his belt, Steve has turned wrenches on just about everything with an engine. He’s a vital part of the Product Support Department and a Certified Trainer in Kubota GL Generators and Kubota Gaseous Engines. Steve’s wealth of knowledge and easygoing teaching style make him a favorite among trainees and teammates alike.
