What it’s like to work with CK Power

At CK Power, we do more than just manufacture and distribute off-highway power products. We listen to each client’s application requirements and provide the best-fit power solution in the shortest lead time possible.

Sometimes that means making minor customizations to an existing product from our catalog, such as equipping a prime power generator for a construction site with a long run-time fuel tank, auxiliary distribution and a sound-attenuated enclosure. Other times, it means custom-engineering a hybrid power system to charge a fleet of electric buses.

But generally speaking, every project we do can be split into one of two categories:

 

Purchase existing products

We supply a full line of power solutions, from emergency power systems to mobile generators, engines and power units. And to make sure we recommend the right product every time, we always provide individualized product selection assistance. Our sales and engineering teams work directly with each client to gather information about their application and expectations. And then they recommend the product that best aligns with the client’s needs.

    Once we understand your application problem, we’ll begin to collaborate with your team to develop potential solutions. We’ll start with the simplest design that overcomes your application challenge, incorporating your feedback and modifying the design until we land on a solution that precisely meets your needs.

    Manage relationships

    For custom-engineered projects, we’ll often have to partner with third-party experts to build aspects of the product. We might need to source a special-built enclosure from a power components company, a 50-ton trailer from heavy-haul trailer company or another custom-designed component of the overall solution. But similar to design-build construction, we’ll manage all relationships with any third-party experts and serve as your single point of contact for the project.

    Deliver

    This step is simple — we’ll deliver your custom-engineered project, exactly as specified, in as short a lead time as possible. It took just six months from initial conversation to delivery for our team to engineer some of the first Tier 4 Final gens sets in North America. And we designed and delivered hybrid battery charging containers in just four months.
